Zeal Pressed Juicery, Aileen Saucedo Founder/CEO
2. What services or products do you offer?
The most nourishing cold-pressed juice on the go. We offer cleanses, weekly subscription with free delivery to home and a workwell program for companies that want to invest in their employees health and wellness.
3. How long as the business been open?
We officially opened our doors to the public in October 2018 inside of Modern Grub but have been serving people with juice since 2013
4. What inspired you to start your own business?
Our family struggled a lot with eczema and sensitive skin. Our babies were sick every other month and trips to urgent care with sick babies was an often occurrence. After some research on how to naturally heal these sicknesses, I came across juicing as a means for healing. I began juicing for myself and my family, then people would ask if I could make juice for them and that’s how Zeal began. Once word of mouth spread I knew other people needed it too. We hardly ever see our doctor anymore other than annual check ups.
5. What did you do to develop the skills to start/run your business?
I listen to a lot of podcasts on business and leadership. I am an avid reader and love to read books that help me grow and develop by implementing the principals that are within those books.
6. Share with us one of your biggest success to date?
Having a steady number of clients on our subscription program. They are our biggest advocates because they too are reaping the benefits of a healthy lifestyle without the stress and restrictions of diets.
7. Share with us one of your biggest challenges to date?
Figuring out how to find time to do it all.
8. What is your favorite part of the business?
Our clients. We light up when our clients share with us how the juice has healed what they were struggling with and have the energy they need to have a productive day.
9. What is the nicest thing a customer has said about your business?
That its life changing. We have customers who are in remission, or battling some sort of life threatening disease.
10. Who inspires you to keep going?
Our customers testimonies. Knowing that they are having a positive impact in their life and getting the nourishment they need to function at their best.
11. What advice do you have for someone who wants to start their own business?
DO IT! Before actually “doing it” I had people tell me to focus on something else but I just couldn’t let it go. Until someone who is “doing it” told me that I could do it, it gave me permission to believe in myself and go for it.
